Western Mountaineering Antelope SMF, Long Left I bought this bag new, direct from Western Mountaineering, about 5 years ago. Ive only used the bag a handful of times because I seldom have to opportunity to be out backpacking or skipacking when it is cold enough to need this bag. However, this past winter I tested a number of my sleeping bags in combination with several configurations of sleeping pads and over quilts. I slept in this bag at 0F and was comfortable wearing long johns, wool socks and a hat. Another night, I slept in this bag when it was -10F, wearing additional clothing, including down pants, a down vest and a warm hat.

I was comfortable throughout the night. This bag has spent virtually its entire life in the Western Mountaineering storage sack and has never been in a stuff sack. When I used it skipacking, I put it in a large waterproof storage sack and strapped it on my sled. When I put it in a pack, I just put in the pack loose, then put more items over it.

The tag on the footbox says SMF, which stands for Super Micro Fiber. The current model is Micro Fiber XP. I dont know what difference there is, if any, but this bag is highly water resistant.

Due to the overfill, this bag weighs 2 pounds, 15 ounces. The only thing I added to this bag is the inside zipper pull. The original storage sack and stuff sack are included. The stuff sack is a little sticky on the inside, which I think is a result of sitting in a box in my spare bedroom for so long. There are no tears, rips, thin spots, loose threads, stains, odors or signs of wear.
