Mountain Hardwear Phantom 45 Sleeping Bag, Regular Left. New, never used lightweight, warm weather sleeping bag. The tag shows 78 length and 30 width, with 7 ounces of 92% down. 800 fill down is usually called 90% and 850 fill down is usually called 92%. This bag is supposed to be 800 fill, but.. Most warm weather bags are either totally or partially sewn through, not fully baffled, but this bag is fully baffled throughout, top and bottom. That adds a little weight, but also adds warmth. The zipper is 2 way, 52 inches long, with a locking upper slider. There is a Velcro tab to lock the top of the bag, but with a locking zipper it is not needed. The zipper is long enough that one could use this bag like a quilt, putting ones feet in the footbox and the bag basically on its side. I think this would be a very comfortable arrangement on a warm night.

I crawled into this bag to check it out, and the fit is trim, but not excessively so. Im 6-0, 180 pounds and there was enough room to move around, and enough room to wear a light layer, even a thin down jacket.

The length felt good, possibly fitting someone up to maybe 6-1. A lot of ultralight bags are made of 7 denier nylon, which is almost translucent. I couldnt find the denier for this bag, but it feels like maybe 12 or 15 denier, which is a little heavier, but also more durable. The zipper looks like a #5 and has good anti-snag tape on both sides and there is an actual down filled draft tube above the zipper. Many warm weather bags dont have a draft tube. The hood is typical Mountain Hardwear, multi-baffled, with the MH face gasket to seal in the heat, and it is big enough to accommodate a hat. There are effective draw cords on the top and bottom. Im skeptical, but it definitely looks like it is a solid 35-40F bag. The bag weighs 1 pound 4 ounces on my digital scale. Includes a MH mesh storage bag and a MH nylon stuff sack.
