Feathered Friends Widgeon Down Sleeping Bag -10F Long Gore-Tex

  

My days of winter mountaineering stopped years ago. My children are grown and while they backpack, and I still backpack, you dont need (or want) to carry a bag rated to -10F. I used a vapor barrier liner in extreme cold and a silk liner when it wasnt below zero.

The result is a bag that looks, smells and feels brand new. The weight per the FF website is 3 pounds, 8 ounces.

I was always happy to carry this knowing I would sleep warm and soundly. They had some with delamination problems with a non Gore-Tex shell material in earlier bags; I got this bag after that. The shell is bright Fire Engine Red. There is some black Gore-Tex on the outside of the draft collar.

Fluffy draft collar and luxurious draft tube backing the zipper. This has no cold spots.

The hood fits like no other. Im guessing it takes more material to make what FF calls their 3D hood, but it works wonderfully without making you feel like youve been kidnapped. Im including the storage sack, but I cant find the stuff sack. This has been stored in the storage bag in a closet (not a garage) letting the down fluff and breathe.

Im a, "Take care of your tools and your tools will take care of you kind, " of guy. Okay, now you know too much about me and this sleeping bag. Give it a good home and take it on some awesome adventures.
